Hi, I’m Lisa

I started baking as a kid with my Grandmother, Mom and Aunt. As I got older I found that cooking and baking were a great retreat from the busy world and a great stress release! I baked my way through college (I even started a chocolate chip cookie delivery fundraiser on campus!), and even found myself working in a cafe that made the most amazing baked goods.

One day in 2002 after a work holiday party, I brought the leftover cheesecake I had made into the restaurant next door for employees to try. That day the manager asked if I would make cheesecakes for the restaurant to sell. That started my career into professional baking. Eventually I worked my way up to heading pastry teams in luxury hotels of the White Mountains.

In 2009 I started working at a local bakery in order to explore many aspects of retail baking and artisan breads. Soon enough I couldn’t resist putting my own spin on things so my husband and I left our jobs and put together Vintage Baking Company. We opened in July 2010 and continue to provide our local community with delicious breads and pastries.

In 2009 I was asked to develop an Artisanal Bread Baking Course for White Mountains Community College. In 2018 I was invited to join the Culinary Arts Department at Lakes Region Community College, where I still teach a range of classes including Nutritional Baking, Baking Technologies, Breads & Rolls. I am also a culinary judge for ProStart and SkillsUSA Compeitions in the state of NH.
